
Kátia Siqueira was a zoologist and professor in the Department of Technology and Social Science (DTCS) at the State University of Bahía (UNEB), from 1998-2019. She has experience in agronomy, with emphasis on fruit tree pollination, native bees and plant reproductive biology. She has conducted research on cucurbits, mango, passion fruit and acerola orchards. Kátia has participated in many research projects on pollination in the São Francisco Valley, including evaluating pollination for increasing the productivity of melon (Cucumis melo Curcubitaceae) and managing Centris bees to increase production of acerola (Malpighia emarginata). Recently retired, Kátia continues to support the project as an advisor.
