SUFICA field surveys begin

The rains have started, the caatinga is turning green, and our intrepid field team has started installing equipment for the baseline field surveys on SUFICA farms. Andres, Nadia and Liam will be working hard for the next couple of months, monitoring mammals, reptiles, insects and soil, while a team from Embrapa are doing plant surveys. The camera traps and pan traps are going in first. Here you can see Andres’s excellent design for camera-trapping reptiles, learned from published Australian studies. Watch our updates for more pictures.
